Does the Disney Store sell pins?

Does the Disney Store (retail) still sell trading pins or can I only get them online?

Not that I've seen. I go to my Disney store weekly just about. I wish they did and I wish the CM's there would pin trade, that would so much fun!!

Went to the one in my hometown last month and they had no pins or lanyards. Guess you gotta get 'em online.

if you are just buying them for trading, I would look on ebay. We got a nice pack of 100 pins for $20.

The Disney Store retail locations rarely have pins.

However, I just ordered 2 sets of pins from disneystore.com. They were on sale and have free shipping this weekend, so I ended up paying $3-4 each. I'm going to use these to trade on an upcoming trip to WDW.

This is not very good advice, I'm sorry to say but the pins you got are likely scrappers. OP if you'd like to buy pins on eBay please follow the link in my thread to the eBay super thread on the Collector's Board. There are many sellers who do not sell scrappers, of course they won't be .20 cents a pin but they won't always be "full price" either. Lanyards can be found on eBay as well.

I just picked up a Cars lanyard at Party City for 99 cents. They had a few other Disney ones too, but I don't remember what they were.

I still have a ton of lanyards that I got with pins from the disney store a couple of years ago that I'm happy to send off if anyone wants one, just PM me. They are blue with Mickey heads and fireworks and they have a card holder which I do not recommend using to store your passes or KTTK or photopass card.
I too recently bought some Up pins from the disneystore.com, they were a 3 pin set, and i don't remember exactly what I paid, but they are decent pins. AND Disneystore.com has free shipping right now!

I usually go on ebay to look for lots of 10 pins.

One of the problems with those 100 pin lots of the 2000 pin. Is it's traded ALL the time. And under trading rules, you're not allowed to trade with a CM if they already have that pin on their lanyard. There's a placard on the bottom of the CM lanyard with the info on pin trading.
Out of good spirit and guest satisfaction, they can however accept non disney (Sedesma is a big one) or duplicate pins for trading. At the end of the day, these pins are taken off the lanyard and sent to the pin replenishment where they're boxed up and sent off.

It's not hard to find the cheapies on ebay, but still expect to pay a couple dollars per pin. I've got tons of trader pins that were bought for cheap when I was a CM. But I'll still buy off of ebay for harder to find pins or old ones.

I have not seen pins for sale in the store. When we do have them it is part of a gift with purchase for a DVD. They do have some on disneystore.com.

I have gotten pins on EBAY.... but paid about $2-3 a pin. My kids loved them ( no duplicates or 2000 ones)...and decided to just keep those. LOL.

So now I have to buy new ones according to them
