Does the Contemporary Resort still have Friday night meets?

Does the Contemporary Resort still have Friday night meets? If so what time does it start?

I've heard they have added a kid's section...my DDis 13 and likes to trade with everybody.

Will she be limited to the kid's table?

We just got back from WDW and had the greatest time. Went to the comtempory for the first time meet a fellow pin trader David and we had a great time. Meet many people with great pins. I also made some great trades.

I had a 3 year old and they let him trade at the children section it is supervised but the children have great fun they can also trade with the adults.. The CM are great with the children.

Since Disney took over the Fri night meets, they have done a terrific job...

All those reservations that everyone had, just never happened..the kid section is excellent, and it is the kids, or parents choice if they are in there..Our 10 year old grandaughter is in and out all the time..they have their own trade board, and she has gotten some great trades..in fact she was the first one to get all of the lanyard pins..the parents can't see the board, and can't coach the kids on which pins to trade for..CM Barbara , who is one of the CM's in there is just wonderful w/ the kids..

The adult area has tables, and is just a lot of fun..the only thing we need is better lighting...but I guess you can't have everything..

Las Fri we had a great treat...a surprise Minnie angel pin was released at GF just a monorail ride away, and then another surprise Mickey angel was released at sundries..at Cont..right beside the pin meet...very convienent if I do say so...

Jeff the Manager there... is doing a great job of coordinating everything, and I can't wait to see what they have planned for the July event...

So don't hesitate for a minute..come on down...and as always, be a wise trader..we can't keep all of the sharks out of the pen, but we do keep most of them..

Do they still have pin trading at the Poly. on Sat. nights. I would like to know as I will be down in Disney on June 1st and I would like to meet up with some trader if I can.

As far as I know they still have the gatherings on Sat night...there aren't as many people as at the Fri night meet, but there are quite a few..

We went to the Contemporary meet this past Friday for the first time. It was pretty big. Tara had a wonderful time in the kids section, and was even awarded a CTT pin! She was SO excited about that one!
That Surprise pin, the Mickey Angel and then the Minnie Angel pin was a great addition to my collection! I'm glad we went, although I didn't know anyone there other than Leighton.

I was the tired one there, pushing around a baby (oh wait, there was more than one baby there!)

Anyway, we had driven down all night on Thursday, and arrived Friday afternoon. Had dinner at Boma, then came over to the Contemporary. I was sitting talking to Leighton most of the time, over near the shop where the Mickey pin was. Tara was in the kids section.

Sorry to have missed you all. I walked around for a little bit before sitting down. I didn't see anyone with DIS pins though. I was looking. We left right around 9:00, after the drawing for the kids. Tara's number was pulled and she got one of the Butterfly pins that I believe was a map pin from the Contemporary or something.

We were also at the pin meet last Friday (Sue Ellen, I surprised I didn't see you!!! Maybe Jordyn and Tara traded??? ) Jordyn (age 10), had a great time and she traded with both kids and adults. She said that the pin meet was the highlight of her entire WDW trip!!!! That is a pretty strong statement from a kid who spent 10 days in Orlando!!! I would highly recomend it

I don't know how I missed you either!!! GEE WHIZ!!! I missed everyone!
We arrived between 7:30 and 8:00 and stayed until 9:00 or so.
Okay, next time I'm wearing a BIG sign that says DIS on it (I did have the DIS pin and green ribbon on my pin bags)
