Does the automatic shower cleaner REALLY work?

I'm gonna go with no. We had one before and we just weren't impressed. I couldn't tell that it really did anything but spray cleaner all over the place, it was always covered with a film of cleaning spray and it used a TON of it each time it sprayed so it seemed like we were always replacing the cleaning fluid. I can get it cleaner myself with a sponge and a bottle of 409.

Ours works great. You only spray it once a day after the last shower. The shower stays clean for weeks. We use ours in a tiled shower stall. Not sure how well it reaches the back of a tub type of shower.

Ours didn't work. I had it from Bzzagents for free and I threw it away. It didn't work at all. It smelled nice- but would miss major spots .I say save your money.

I got the Scrubbing Bubbles one and I love it. Yeah, it works.

I still want the shower cleaned once a week or so, but it keeps it in great shape between cleanings and isn't as hard to get clean. Much better than before.

If you want a coupon, I have one. Been holding on to that in case anyone I knew wanted it.

We have a shower stall with glass door- and I never found it did anything but spray cleaner on my shower.

I've had better results with just using a cheap bleach containing spray at the end of the day...

Same here. I just threw mine out.

I have the Scrubbing Bubbles one and have found that it does help with the soap scum in between cleaning. It doesn't replace cleaning.

I'll have to second this...I love mine too, It doesn't stop you from having to clean the tub but it does make cleaning easier and between cleaning it keeps it alot cleaner that if you didn't have one. I have tubs that have the shower curtain and I just push the button close the curtain and it cleans up pretty nicely. I have the whole house trained to push the button and close the curtain after every bathe and it has saved me from having to go behind them.


I think part of the problem with people buying these tub cleaners are they think that they will not have to clean their tub really good at least once a week and then they are disappointed, if you buy it with the mind frame that it's to do cleaning between heavy cleanings you will be fine .

Yes, not especially effective and expensive. Bad combination.

We have a huge shower, so I'd say .... not so much .....

It doesn't reach all the walls and the area where we stand gets a lot of soap scum accumulation.

I don't think I'm replacing it when this one dies.

This. I still clean clean the shower periodically, but the SBSC really helps lazy folk like me keep on top of things in between times. I need to replace mine ASAP--I forgot it in the old apartment when I moved.
