Does the 30% off mod resort save more than free dining?

I didnt think it would but I was just crunching numbers - we are staying 9 nights we have the 20/30/40 pin currently booked at POP but switching to CBR myself, DH, DS2 room 1 and sister 16 room 2. Even with 2 preferred rooms at the CBR and adding the regular dining plan, it seems I would save $322 more than if we had those same 2 rooms with free dining.

If we were lucky enough to get the 35% off code, we would save $497 but we havent been lucky enough to get that yet.

Did anyone else find that they would save more with the 30% off mod? I thought the room discount was only a better deal if you stayed deluxe. Maybe it is because we have 2 adults/1child in one room, and one 16 year old in connecting?

I did the math like 4 times so I think I figured it out correctly and if so I am just going to switch to that discount and forget waiting for free dining!

I've checked it both ways 2 years in a row, & for a moderate it works about an even trade for 2 people. We decided to upgrade to a dlx with the 40% pin & pay for dlx dining this year. That was a huge savings over the free dining. I believe at values the better deal by far is free dining.

I'm a terrible mathematician, but I found for my family, DH, DD6 & myself, that we would save more with free dining. We are staying at CBR during value season for 6 nights and the 30% pin is saving us 363.00, however we will save about 550.00 with free dining.

I did do the math wrong for 30% -it is not a better deal BUT it is only within $50 for the whole 9 days for 2 rooms SO I am going to call and book this tomorrow and forget bartering for free dining LOL. If I would be lucky enough to get the 35% off Mod pin THEN that would be a better deal than free dining, but I think within $50 is good enough to stop stressing over it!

You can book now & have the promo changed if something better comes along. I originally booked the bounce back free dining. When I got the 40% code I changed it. All my info & my ressie # stayed the same.
