Does Target price match ?

My TRU, which is right across the street from Target, would price match, though it's been several months since I did that.

Target won't even price match their own stores!! There are two in my county and from time to time, they have different prices on the exact same thing (one is a regular Target, one is a Super Target).

Prices can be different for a few reasons. Two that I can think of is that the store lowered the price to match another store, and that the main office changed the price and only 1 store has followed through.

A lot of stores are doing away with price matching. Someone from Wal*Mart said that the rumor that they are doing away with it is constantly making the rounds but so far hasn't reached the truth level.

Nope, I learned this last week. I bought the deluxe edition of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The lady was surprised that I returned it b/c it was $5 cheaper at Wal-Mart.

Employee at TRU said they would pricematch on their own items, but not on other stores' Grrrrr.....

If you buy something at Target and it goes on sale w/in 2 weeks they will give you the price differene IF you have your reciept.

Target, Kmart and Best Buy used to. Not anymore.

Officemax, Staples and Walmart stil price match around here. Although Walmart is getting pickier about it though.

Price-matching is on the decline because it has become increasingly less worthwhile to the stores.

TRU Stopped durring the summer when the new company took over.

TRU in PA priced matched a Target item for me just last week. And I had bought it prior so I just had the receipt. Took the receipt and ad to the customer service asked to see the manager and he matched it immediately and gave me a refund on the difference! Excellent customer service and I told him this!

Our TRU stopped price matching last summer too. I was buying some video games and they wouldn't honor the Target price -- and they were surprised when I left without buying the games!! I saved almost $20 on two games Very few stores in the Chicago burbs price match anymore.
