Just moved our June trip to WDW to May to take advantage of the GREAT seat sale SWA is having. It is absolutely incredible how cheap it is to fly! For the 3 of us, it cost $360.00 vs paying $1200 with AC!!

I was just wondering if SWA has these types of rock bottom price seat sales often, or are they once in a very rare blue moon?

I think SWA always has some kind of a deal going on with their flights. I've seen the $49 each way other years, during the winter.

I flew down to Disney in February on a seat sale advertised in January for $49 each way. There was also a fantastic seat sale advertised back in December for $25. each way. I think that was for January flights, but don't quote me on that! I procrastinated too long for that one! There was also a good deal last fall, I think it was $69 each way, that I flew down on at the beginninng of November. In Sept/Oct 2003, I flew down on $75 each way which I thought was a great rate too, at the time.

I like the ease of getting around Buffalo airport and not having to go through customs at the airport, is a plus too!

Hi Julie:

I have never flown, but was wondering when you say that you flew for say $49 each way, is there taxes added to that amount or do you actually pay just $49 us..
I know here there is a big whopping amount added for some sort of taxes around a couple of hundred dollars as my son flew for the first time last april to meet the rest of us at wdw.

Deb..

Hi Deb, there are taxes added to that. I usually find that the base fare is a few dollars less than the advertised amount. The actual breakdown for my upcoming trip is as follows:

Base Fare - US$45.58 each way
US Taxes - 6.62 each way
PFC & Security- 5.50 each way
Total Return- $115.40 (approx CA $144.02 based on my Feb. trip)

If you go into the online booking process at SWA, you can find out what a particular flight will cost you, all taxes in. www.southwest.com click on "Book Travel"

Hi Julie:

Alright, thanks for the info. That is a huge difference from the canadian prices.

Now I need the little pill from the doctor to get me on the plane that everyone spoke of at one of the dis meets, lol

Deb

P.s. You are so lucky to be going back to the world in the spring, i love it that time of year.
