Does SW do anything special on July 4th?

Both parks will be packed. I would imagine Universal would be even more crowded because of Harry Potter world opening. Of course being a Seaworld fan, I would say choose Seaworld. One because it will be less crowded than universal and two because the park is open until 11 and usually features a fireworks show at the end of the night. Seaworld also has night shows that are only performed certain times during the year, and July 4th is one of the opportunities you will have to see these special night shows.

We're doing Seaworld for 7/4 this year. We figured it would be less packed because it wouldn't have fireworks. Also, it has fewer rides to wait in line for. We plan on a second day at Seaworld, so if it's too crowded for our taste, we'll just bug out.

I don't kow if you saw my post or not, but Seaworld WILL have a fireworks show on the 4th of July.

I did see that--when I made my grand plan, I figured they wouldn't have fireworks, which is why I chose it. In any event, I don't know that my gang will be there until 11pm (my youngest is 5--even with a nap, I don't know that he'd hold out).

We're going for 2 weeks, hitting 7 parks--I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of fireworks along the way. My preference would be to spend 7/4 outside all the parks, then getting up early the next day, when everyone else is sleeping in. But, I've been outvoted.
