does shutter burn photos to a disc?

some of the cruise lines now offer the service (of course for a fee) wherein their photo lab will transfer your digital photos to a disc (so you don't have to bring so many memory sticks).

anyone know if shutters offers this and if so how much?

Yes they do. I just got back from the Wonder and I think the cost was $14.95.

It works very well. But one thing I didn't realize is that the transfer is still photos only. Any movie type files won't get copied to disk. I reformatted my card, and lost a couple of videos that I can never get again
