We will be on the DxDP and I was thinking we'd share some table service meals for lunch. We're doing character buffets for most breakfasts and then have dinner every night so while I think we'll want something to eat we'll probably be good sharing.

I was thinking of CS to share but since I'm sure it will be hot and I'll be 32 weeks pregnant I think sitting in A/C and relaxing would be nicer.

But I'd hate to make a bunch of servers angry. Any experience with that either way?

i dont have any experience waiting tables in Disney but i do it everyday in my daily life. and i can speak for all by saying..we dont care if you are sharing a meal. just as long as the tip reflects 18%(preferably 20% if it was great service) of the bill. since the dining plan doesnt include gratuity thats all a hard workin' server hopes for. as long as someone is nice to me and treats me with respect i dont care how many meals they order!

:)

my mom and I have shared on the dining plan all the time and no one has ever been upset by it. When we do it we do tend to tip a little higher to make up for their "lost" income.

Cranky obnoxious guests upset servers far more than polite guests who are respectful and gracious. :goodvibes We have shared meals other than buffets, and we always treated beautifully. Just a note, there are some fabulous air conditioned CS, Sunshine seasons, Columbia harbor House, Capn Cooks @ Poly, etc...

Just so you know, each park has at least one indoor CS place.

Off the top of my head.

MK Cosmic Rays, Columbia Harbor House
Epcot Electric Umbrella, Liberty Tavern (the CS in the American Pavilion) Probably more
DHS Toy Story Pizza Planet, ABC Commissary
AK Pizzafari

Never had any problems, shares usually did not charge us for extra drinks (cokes, tea). It was great.

I do know there are some CS with a/c and we'll probably go to one or two but since we will have the DxDP I'd rather try some different restaurants and not have to stand in line for food at CS. I think I'll enjoy sitting for a bit of a break and having my food brought to me. Plus if we're splitting our meal we also get an appetizer at TS which will help fill us up if we're hungry.

Closing, as this is in general a discussion about tipping.

Please see the first post of the Tipping Information sticky thread for information about discussing tipping on the Restaurant boards.
