Isn’t that strange? Other then when they asked for my email last Oct in DLR Disney has never asked for a survey? The timing seems all to quincidential !!!

What do you all think?

Are you able to follow this link and fill out the survey too? If so, do so and type in every box something about keeping VMK !

It's interesting that the survey was only determining what other online games people played and not questions about improving Pirates like the intro letter claimed.

Only paid members get the survey, and as in any survey its to gather data. Many uses for that data gathered, seeing what ages predominately are playing the game, what other games have or are being played. All this is useful, Potc was voted best online game only. Its a great game. And they will be able to build and improve on that, with the information they receive.

I got this survey a weeks ago and I do not pay play the game. My son and I tried it out the games a few months ago using the free play mode. It was full of what other games do you play type of questions and what do you like/dislike about pirates. Most of my answers revolved around the "it's not vmk" theme.:thumbsup2

I think they are trying to gather information about where their players came from, meaning what games they like to play etc so maybe they can add some extra features to the game? :confused3

I got the survey today, and am NOT a paying POTC member. I only played twice, getting killed both times, LOL. BUT I did the whole survey. As stated above, it did ask what other online games you play and asked about your online gaming time spent.

I think depending on whether you clicked POTC as one of the choices, or perhaps how often you said you played, did it ask you about the game itself. Things you liked, didn't like, what influenced your decision to play POTC, what can disney do to improve your POTC game experience ("Keep VMK! POTC does not have the same community feel as VMK, so please reconsider the decision to close the VMK community."), etc etc.

I didn't like the game even though I love the POTC "Theme", LOL. If there was a way to show all the questions, I'd share them. They were definitly looking for feedback on the POTC online "experience" and what they can do to make it better.

not sure if there questioning it yet, but maybe they will after I kept repeating to them that if the shut down VMK they will lose this paying Pirate.

I am so mad! I chose to be honest at the first question - "Do you or any member of your immediate family.. yah da yah da" Well, my daughter does PR for online game - arg - so I answered yes.

Next question - "Where do you prefer to shop" I answered - online.

Response - "Thanks for your participation"

Guess we will wait for Out's survey to come through and get past the first question!:badpc: I am apparently to stupid to be allowed to do this!

Esmeralda, could you please look in to your crystal ball and tell us if Disney Internet Group is listening? lol

In the mean time, stay encouraged, there are VMK players still pushing forward with the campaign and the world is just getting our message. Let's just hope their hearts are listening and they decide to try the "pay to play" avenue.

This is the newest CNN iReport on the subject:

I think they are just trying to find out why they are not getting the numbers they anticipated for Pirates Online.
