Does park reservation availability change?

Apologies if this is a dumb question, this is our first trip in 5 years and a lot has changed. I was able to reserve a spot at the campground this morning from January 2nd- the 7th and noticed that there are no reservations available at Hollywood Studios during that time. The 8th is still available but we don't have tickets yet. Hoping Disney offers a new military salute deal soon but I'm wondering how risky it is to wait? Is it likely that availability will open up if I keep checking back? My husband suggested buying 1 day tickets just to reserve the park but that's an expensive solution.

Hi,
I believe availability can certainly change as peoples plans change. However Hollywood studios is beside the expo for the WDW Marathon weekend so demand might be high.

I see it's all green in January right now.

There was no availability for HS about a week ago for the week you are going, so I urged my family to buy their tickets for our trip and book the days already because we are going the week after. A few days ago, I checked availability and HS showed green all days in January. Curious that you see it is unavailable again. I think you should keep checking because maybe it's a glitch.

I'm glad I got my family to get their tickets and book anyway... :rolleyes1

It shows green for me now! So weird that it changed so quickly, it was unavailable from the 1st-8th just a few hours ago. We are really hoping to wait for the Disney Military Salute tickets (if the offer is being renewed) because it's a huge savings for us, but this reservation thing has me stressed. We definitely don't want to miss all the new Star Wars stuff.
