I remember watching an episode with my grandmother when I was a little girl where she gave away a TON of things!

I don't usually watch Oprah but I was curious if she still does this. I'd like to watch if she does, but I can figure out when it is or if she still does it.

Anyone have any idea?:confused3

TIA.

I read recently that Oprah isn't doing her "Favorite Things" episode this year. I was disappointed, I watch it every year and it was always a really fun show!

Good. It became so bogus. Oprah did a show one yr of HER favorite things and then it turned into something else.

Now admittingly it was a fun show to watch. I am glad to hear she put a stop to it.:thumbsup2

Last year she did a show on how to make gifts for a budget. This year there won't be a show. They were always so much fun to watch though.

Yes, it was ludicrous last year. :sad2: One of the richest people on the planet does a Budget show and doesn't give her audience many gifts the one year they could use/give/sell them the most. Meanwhile, Ellen Degeneres goes all out giving some of the biggest, best gifts out each day during her holiday season shows.

I watch Ellen. I actually really enjoy her show. DS and I camp out in front of the TV every day and play/watch.

I love watching the gift segments. OH well. Thanks anyway!!

Oprah had to disguise when she would actually do the show. The 2nd year she did it,, people were lined for miles for tickets for end of Nov./beginning of December. One year she asked on her website for who you thought was an angel in your life-a do gooder. The person that submitted the e-mail and the angel both got tickets, and they thought they were going to share their story. But they found out it was the giveaway show. One year she did teachers. That was funny, because all the teachers in the audience played hookie that day and they were crouchy down in their seats and didn't want to be on camera.
