Does MS need to help Sony?

This was an interesting "prediction of sorts":

7) The Sony news is SO bad that it deserves two predictions. I would predict the fall of CEO Howard Stringer again if there were clearly somebody at Sony who wants his job. The business is in such difficulty that Microsoft is discussing internally how to help Sony from going under, since that would create a raft of antitrust problems for Redmond. I am not making this up.

Wouldn't that be funny? If MS started buying and storing consoles in a warehouse somewhere just to keep Sony afloat? It is a bit much I know... but still funny... for the MS fan boys.

Microsoft should try this out: Buy a shotgun, rent a warehouse, order a catering service to provide food, and buy as many PS3s as I could afford. Then, invite everyone within the 50 mile radius to the warehouse, wherein people shoot the PS3s and have delicious food. Official win times ten.

Seriously, I doubt that unless Sony does something fast, the console will go to crap along with the company. So far I've seen someone sell a PS3 and a CAR on eBay and gotten nothing near what I would expect. I think that selling the PS3 with it degrades the cost of the car.

Here's what Bill Gates should do. Stop giving money to charities and actually hire some DECENT programmers.


If anything Nintendo should help MS and Sony out and teach them how not to make a gaming console that's a computer. A bad one at that.

Nano, MS does not need programmers, they are all just fine, what they need is better INTEGRATORS - which are basically program compilers, MS usually has issues with integration fromm a number of sources, often its own products. This is true of every single Windows release and the 360 has had some of the same issues. all the products work just fine seperately, but put them together and you get one giant ball of fun. I know, I did external support for Windows and Office for 2 years. The worst 2 years of my career.

Whats wrong with giving money to charity? If you have money I think it is better to give it away rather than turn in to the US treasury.

I think M's priority, especially since it's a major company, would be to work on getting the bugs out of their consoles first. It may seem greedy, but they'll get more more money to give away to chairites. Logic wins.

Ya I think your right except some people think that the consoles should be sony's and MS's priority numeral uno. But they have other things to worry about like MS's Windows Vista to close to the edge of no return, and sony's well sony stuff (credit cards, DVD players ect.)

But MS is not donating money Bill Gates is with his money that he made.

I am not saying that Nintendo doesn't have other things to worry about (I mean look it all of those Mario plush toys) but beacuse we are discussing MS and Sony I only included them.
