I find the Triumph shade to be pretty useles aside from draping stuff on top of it. They don't make a special shade for their strollers. Get the rayshade at babiesrus. It's relatively cheap and very light and does a good job blocking it. Attaches to the Triumph very easily.
We have two rayshades ,one for our Triumph and one for our Britax stroller. They are wonderful, easy to fold up, and lightweight. They can stretch to fit many sizes of strollers and many positions. Just watch out for the velcro. It can snag the fabric.
Love my rayshade. They fold up nice and neat and provide lots of coverage! The velcro holds them on nicely too. I think about $15. Worth every penny. SPF 50+, I think!
I have a triumph...the shade "tilts" forward, pretty much moves 180 degrees on the pivot where it's fastened. I am able to always cover my son from the sun. He sometimes pulls it down all the way and it covers his WHOLE front and hides behind it.
Does your triumph shade do that? I actually find the triumph shade works better than the shade on any other stroller I've owned...maybe just my model is different (it's a 2006).
I just bought the Triumph yesterday at BRU. I saw the Rayshade and also a Safety 1st version. Does anyone know if the Safety 1st version fits the Maclaren strollers? I read on a review that it does not fit all strollers. It's about 1/2 the price of the Rayshade - and you know the motto ... any money saved is more for the mouse!!
Thanks!!
ETA: bregnat, the 2008 shade does not pull forward. I tried it out in the store after reading your post and I couldn't get it to pull forward. Once I open the box, I'll check the instructions, maybe there's a trick to it. But I couldn't get it to work in the store yesterday.
Is the rayshade a breatheable(sp) material. The shade on my techno covers the whole stroller but its not breatheable(sp) I used it to cover my dd in the mall once while she was sleeping and when I opened it she was wet from sweating and she wasn't even closed in it was open on each end to allow air flow. I started thinking that this might work for dd when we are in disney if the air flow is better.
Bebe-soleil makes a sun shade that easily attaches to the canopy of any stroller. I use it on my Maclaren and it works very well. It is made out of sun glass materials and comes down to about the stroller tray. It can be purchased on amazon.com. Just search bebe-soleil.
I have the kiddopotamus rayshade and it is amazing. I n fact I have just handed it to my sister in law for her baby now mine is not using her stroller anymore. Works in all the strollers I have had (quite a few ) and works great on hers too. Would highly recommend.
