Once again, for steak lovers, does Le Cellier stack up to Yachtsmen and Shulas? Have been to Yachtsmen which I thought was good, but never to Le Cellier or Shulas. Of course, price is always a consideration, but if the quality of Le Cellier is much less than Yachtsmen or Shulas, I would like to know from those who have tried them.

MY DH, DS and his "sweetie" are SERIOUS steak lovers, so I'd like to make the best decision for them.

Thanks,

Thanks.

If you want SERIOUS steak, go to Shula's. It's pricey, but worth it. You will have an incredible steak there -- the chefs know how to prepare it exactly as ordered.

On my list, #1 is Shula's; #2 Le Cellier; #3 YSH. JMO, but YSH has lost its edge lately. They seem to think medium = grilled to a charcoal briquet quality! *YUCK!*

Your DH, DS and "sweetie" will thank you handsomely if you steer them to Shula's.

These days it's about the same as Yachtsmans, because Yachtsmans has lost it's edge. The Le Cellier prices are lower, service is better, and food is the same, if not better. I do prefer the atmosphere at Yachtsmans though.

Shula's is in a class by itself. Le Cellier is a step above YSH.

I have a different opinion...
I like Le Cellier very much but I think YSH is better. We just ate at both in Dec and YSH filet was much better. Shula's is a step above both but my favorite steak at WDW is still the grilled NY strip at Flying Fish. Has anyone gotten word on whether FF still has the grilled NY strip?? I hope so!!

I have to agree with the above poster, on e of the best steaks I have ever had was at the FF. For real value, though you shoyld not count out the Concourse grill. The steake there is always very good buy cheaper than all of the above mentioned places

The "most serious" steaks are definately at Shula's.
Next would be Yachtsman Steakhouse. I think some of the edge they lost is due to Shulas, as now they have some "serious" competition--and Shula's is uncomfortably close close by as well.

As Ducklite says, the atmosphere at YSH is "better" than Le Cellier, and alone among the steakhouses, YSH has some different beers available.
On your list I'd rank LeCellier 3'rd--great if you hppen to be at EPCOT anyway, but not worth bypassing Shula's or YSH.

For serious steak, I guess it would be Shula's....

But, I must say that I am a bit surprised by all the posts regarding the steak at Flying Fish. I have eaten there and it was wonderful. But, I would not think of ordering steak and a restaurant known for it's seafood. Now that I know that their steak is so great, I might have a hard time choosing the fish.

Ah, so many choices, so little time....

for serious (but pricy) steak I think one of the best palces in Orlando is the Palm at the Hard Rock Hotel.

My husband and I were loyal to the Yachtsman. This past trip Feb 1st through the 6th we decided to give Le Cellier a try because of all of the great things I have read about it on these boards. Well, let me tell you it was the best meal we have ever had to WDW. The service, quality of food and atmosphare was far better then what we have ever experianced at the Yachtsman. Remember we enjoyed our meals at the Yachtsman and prior to this trip I would be telling you that the Yachtsman was great. Well, as of today I cannot comment on Shula's as we have never eaten there but if I could only eat at one of the places on a given trip it would be Le Cellier's hands down for us.

I have to agree with this. We ate at Yachtsman New Year's Eve; my husband sent his "medium" filet back because there wasn't any pink in it at all. You could chalk that up to the fact that they were INCREDIBLY busy that night....But we returned a few nights later (it is our favorite restaurant at WDW, we had to give it another chance!), and he decided to ask for "medium rare" which came out closer to medium.

We haven't tried Shula's yet, because they don't have a children's menu, and we have two little ones who won't eat steak:D

We have a PS for our upcoming March trip at YSH, and we are looking forward to it (we also have a PS at Flying Fish, but we WON'T be ordering steak!)

I can't comment on Shula's but would love to try it some day. Of the other restaurants, another vote here for the Flying Fish.
I know not many folks would expect a great 'fish' restaurant to have a great steak but they do. And the sauce foyot they serve with it is quite tasty.

hi: we've been to only shula's and le cellier. shula's would get our vote for #1 for steak, with le cellier not too far behind. we've been going to wdw for over 15 years and have never been able to get to the ysh; guess we'll give it a miss for a while longer.

We always enjoy Le Cellier, so it rates # 1 with us. We haven't tried Shula's but may next month. I would take McDonald's over the YSH because of a really bad meal there last year; poor service, rotten attirudes and charred steak.

Haven't been to YSH, but have been to Le Cellier and Shula's.

Le Cellier is good, Shula's is awesome.

Of the two places we had steak on our last trip, Le Cellier and RFC @ AK, I would return to RFC for the steak. We ordered the Surf-n-Turf, crab legs or stuffed lobster with your chioce of steak. I choose the smaller, more tender cut, my DH the larger cut. We both thought it was good.

We just returned 2/16 - YSH has ALWAYS been one of my DH's most favorite places to eat.. it was absolutley the worst meal we had the entire trip - I could have gotten a better steak at Outback for half the price! They really have gone downhill....

Le Cellier is one of my favorite places... we had a WONDERFUL meal there...

I've heard nothing but good things about Shula's, but I've never experienced it for myself.
