Does it worth? A little disappointment with Discover Atlantis at Nassau.

I've said this dozens of times before but it's well worth checking out CABLE BEACH and going to the Wyndham. It's free! The poos is awsome with waterslide and swim up bar and the casino is much nicer than Atlantis. The beach has free beach chairs and there are watersports available for a small fee. And the food is much cheaper than Atlantis.

Kaykels - can you walk to Cable Beach? What mode of transportation do you use. I like the longer cruise on the Magic, but one never knows!! Thank you for sharing that! We were at the Atlantis and didn't care much for either their gaming or hotel ammenities.

Hi Rachel! You were so helpful about the Cable Beach thing last week or so, I think we will be doing that.

To the people that have ordered sandwiches from rm service, what if you don't want to pack a cooler in your luggage, do the sandwiches "last" till lunch time? Also, what kind of drinks did you order from rm service to bring with you? I like the idea of bringing ziplock bags.

You can't walk to Cable Beach but the cab drivers will happily take you there. It's $5.00 pp but I've heard from other posters that they took the bus for 1.00 (I don't think I'm that brave). We brought bottled water onto the ship and kept them in our refrigerator in the cabin. We just packed those up in the soft cooler. It was so much fun. Email me if you want more info at:

While I've not yet been on a cruise, from what I've read, the answer to both questions is "yes."

I've heard someone say the Bahaman dollar is "attached" to the US dollar, or something along those lines, so they're considered equal in the Bahamas. But this isn't from first-hand experience, so it would be good if someone could verify that.
