Does HHN affect crowds/rates?

Just looking for some expert advice from those who have been to Universal in mid-October while HHN is going on. Does HHN attract bigger crowds, and does it increase the on-site hotel rates? TIA!

I don't know about hotel rates, but the crowds are actually pretty good during the day. It doesn't get packed until the event is about to begin.
