my guess from the (very helpful!) picture BamaBeagle shared is that you booked standard and you’ve got the “people pen” view, which means you can see the emergency area for guests and the savannah behind it.
We had a standard view room on the Kudu Trail, and we had various kinds of animals right outside of our room 24/7. It was amazing to stand on the balcony and see a giraffe having a snack just several yards away. I think our room was near a feeding/watering area, which is why there was so much animal traffic. Anyone with a room in the same area would have gotten a similar view: it wasn't a tiny, closed-off area or anything. The animals wandered to and from all day, but there was always something to see.
