Does Grand Floridian have a bus that goes to DTD ?

The bus will also have stopped at the Contemporay and Poly on the way to DTD and stop at both of those on the way back. Another example of the "outstanding" service you get at the "flagship" Disney Deluxe! :)

Not true ...

Normally, the bus goes WL -> GF -> DTD. Someone traveling from GF to DTD would go non-stop to DTD (or TL depending on time of day). Someone coming back would stop at WL, but not CR or Poly.

There are exceptions; buses may be rerouted at any time to accommodate large crowds at a resort or mitigate delays.

Seriously??? And yet again....because a resort is a 'deluxe' or the 'flagship resort', does NOT mean they get better bus service. It does mean that they get alternative options...boat, monorail.

Amen! On our last trip, we waited at the GF for over an hour for a DTD bus!

I was not impressed with the bus service there at all.

Yes. All the resorts have transportation to DTD (I *think* that they all have buses, but some may only have boats).

Even though POR has a boat to DTD, they still have a bus. The boats don't start running until after DTD opens; 10:00 am. The bus arrives for p/u starting at 9:00 am.

Thanks for the confirmation. That is what I thought, but I wasn't totally sure, so put in the caveat.

In my experience the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian would always share the same bus to and from Downtown Disney.

ok with the information on the buses to DTD from GF I'm debating on another way back to my resort. We will be eating at 1900 Park Fare and then need to go back to POFQ. So would it be faster to go to MK and then get our resort bus from there ?

Definitely! DTD would be the last choice option, it's out of your way and the buses don't run very often.

Using the nearest park as a transfer point is usually the best way to go if that park is still open. If MK has closed within the hour (or longer) the monorail will still be running, but the inbound MK stop might be skipped. Check with the CM on the monorail platform before you board.

OK thank you:)

In my experience driving the bus to DTD, I can tell you that I stopped at WL, GF, and TL only ... and the GPS never complained that I was "off route." And that was just last week!

It's possible that a long time ago -- like more than 4 years ago -- the resorts may have been combined differently.

Well in December 2010 when we drove past Downtown Disney I remember seeing a Disney Transport bus in the opposite direction that said Contemporary/Polynesian/Grand Floridian on it's electronic sign and it just came from the Marketplace bus stop.

Seriously??? You're arguing with a WDW bus driver about the routes a WDW bus takes? Sure, I can understand that perhaps a bus made a change in route, but that certainly doesn't mean it's the norm. When a bus driver tells us the 'norm' it would behoove us to figure he may know what he is talking about.

Oh, and I have been on the bus to DTD from the CR...we didn't stop at the GF. But, we did it only one time.

We never stopped at GF when on the bus from CR (going to DTD or any other park). We did stop at Poly (or got on the bus after it had been to the Poly).
