Planned a Sept trip for 4 nights GF, first time. Changed it to 2 nights POR & 3 nights GF. I am missing the Poly so bad lately & having second thoughts that I just changed it to 5 nights Poly & without a code!:( Can't help it!! Anyone else change plans this much? Now to figure out what to do with my ADRs now!! Those will need to change too. Poor DH, I drive him crazy. But at least I drive (ok fly) him to Disney!!!;)

I haven't changed yet, but I have metally flip flopped a lot.
What made you leave GF? Esepcially if you've never been there, it has so many of the same perks as Poly, just different theming. I would go back to GF if you have never done it!

I do love the Poly, tho, and feel that pull...

I change all the time. I totally understand. There are SO many wonderful resorts at WDW that I think a lot of Disney fanatics are like kids in a candy store
For me it's a mood thing. By now, I know my favorite resorts so well that I plan based on the type of "feel"/atmosphere I want to have, as well as what parks are most important. For example, for Mother's Day this year, I KNEW I wanted to take my DD to the GF (her favorite) and, although it was not available for all of my dates when I originally booked, I kept trying and was able to switch my reservation from the YC to the GF :cloud9: We had tea at the Garden View Lounge, sat on the beach, had a delicious dinner at Citrico's and took the monorail to Epcot and the MK. Perfect weekend :thumbsup2
This summer I am staying at the Polynesian for a week and have added 4 nights at AKL which is one of my FAVORITES. The trip is going to be amazing! Lots of time in the parks complemented by lots of pool time and amazing meals - plus I am in the mood for the dark, lush richness of these 2 resorts.

Good luck and I hope you have a wonderful vacation no matter where you stay :thumbsup2

My wife changes plans a lot. I just say thats fine with me. You'll have a great time no matter where you stay.:thumbsup2

I have gone from BWI - POFQ, - POR - YC- Poly - AKL -SSR. I am sticking now though. :rotfl:

I booked the Beach Club for Sept. since we have never been there, but I felt that Poly pull as well and switched. After we stayed at the Poly for the first time, it's hard to stay anywhere else, we just love it!

Boy, you sound like the best husband ever. Although, your wife sounds pretty great too! Hello Brian. Very funny. I'm glad we switched,. I need to sit in the pool & see the castle from there, don't you? Maybe I'll go down the slide again too!!! Can't wait til our trip!!!

What made me switch? I like the theming at the Poly better & we have two ADRs there also. I mainly wanted GF to try something new & to have a hot tub. What else? I really just felt like I would be at GF & wishing I was at the POLY. When I'm at the Poly I don't really feel any draw to the GF. We do go there for walks & it looks great but....Maybe someday but the pull from the Poly is too strong right now!!! Who knows, there are still about 90 more days til my trip.......:)

I have done it. On my last trip, I went from CSR (because my sister wanted it), to POFQ because I like it so much better, to the WL because it more Christmassy and then to the BC because I got a $350 a night room for $226. :)

This next time I am booking the WL and sticking with it.

We just got back from our trip.

Plan #1 5 nights at POFQ
Plan #2 7 nights at ASMu
Plan #3 1 night at ASMu, 5 nights at 1 BR Villa, 1 night Studio
Plan #4 1 night at ASMu, 6 nights at 1 BR Villa

I actually made all of those reservations and cancelled/changed them. We're planning our September trip now. I've changed it a few times in my mind. I'm sure I'll change something before it's all said and done. :)

Plan 3 hurts my head, jennifer! You must either pack really light, or never unpack when you travel! How can you move so much? Ack!

Us? We settle in. Hubby really loves unpacking and getting nested when we arrive anyplace, so split stays for him are really out of the question.
