Does Epcot open early for Marathon finish?

With the 6 a.m. Marathon start, the elite runners should be entering World Showcase around 8 a.m. for the Marathin finish, and when I run in 2008, I hope I'll be well trained enough to be finishing around 10 a.m.

Since Epcot normally opens at 9 a.m., and WS not until 11 a.m., do they modify the hours to allow spectators to watch the runners finish through WS?

How crowded is Furture World near the fountain and finish line?

I believe (don't quote me on this) they do not adjust the opening times. You can still wander around World Showcase when its not open and the park is its just that the actual shops and everything are not opened.

They issue "viewing" credentials to friends and family members who are with the runners. These will allow them into the parks early with regular admission media and allow them into certain areas to be able to watch the race. Everything will be closed.

It is not crowded, and, BTW, the finish line is outside the park near the Kennels.

You can get into Epcot to watch the start, but then they close it back up. The finish is outside the park in the parking lot on the same side as the kennel. You can get into MK up to the end of Main Street to watch the runner come down Main Street and to run through the castle. AK and DS you have to have a ticket to enter the park.
