Does Eggplant Parmesan need a side dish?

I'm making Eggplant Parmesan tonight for the first time. Do I make a side dish with it? If so, what should I make? I was thinking maybe a salad, but need lettuce, and can't run 15 minutes to the grocery cuz I already turned the oven on..lol

You can do whatever you want at home.

At restaurants I've had it with a side of spaghetti.

If you want eggplant parm to be an entree or a side dish is up to you & your family. I've had it served with pasta, garlic bread &/or a salad. On Christmas Eve when I make my traditional Italian meal, I have eggplant parm as a vegetable side dish. Enjoy it!
