I use SR to run all my online purchases thru, except for the few that they don't carry.

when on site the other day, i clicked on the Disneyshopping link

while the verbage indicates that park tix aren't include in the rebate, i don't see gift cards mentioned...anybody know for sure?popcorn::

It's been my experience that eBates does not rebate for gift cards that are purchased from ANY website, with the exception of those websites that are in the business of selling GCs only.

I'm going to shoot this thread over the Rewards Board because there are more eBates users there and they may be able to answer your wuestion better.

I would be anxious to hear as well because it was my understanding from Disney that across the board they are not paying commissions on gift cards anymore.

I don't think ebates gives cash back - but there is a way to get a 5% discount on disney gift cards right now.

Visit http://www.incentone.com/holiday/

Purchase an electronic holiday gift card in any $25 increment and select yourself as the recipient. Enter Offer Code Holiday7 to get the 5% discount. Please note there is a $2.95 processing fee so your gift card will need to be at least $75 for your to make a profit.

Within in a few minutes of your purchase your gift certificate code will be emailed to you and you can redeem for Disney gift cards. The site says your gift card will arrive in 2-3 weeks.

so, if you paid for the gift cards with your disney visa then you could also get the reward points! very clever indeed!

I emailed them last week with that exact question. Unfortunately, I deleted the response so I can't post it but the answer was NO.

Well, you can double dip a little. If you buy Disney dollars at the disneystore before you leave with your Disney Visa you get a little extra.

What if you purchased $500 worth of Disney Gift Cards from incentone.com using your Disney Visa card and getting the 5% discount.

$500 x .05 = $25 discount + 1% back on Disney Visa ($5) = $30 less $2.95 fee from Incentone and you finish with $27.05.

Then, you take the card and give it to your relative / friend / neighbor, etc and get them to list it on eBay for $500. You purchase it from them using the Microsoft Live.com 25% cashback program and pay for it using your PayPal account that is linked to your Disney Visa.

$500 x .25 = $125 back + 1% back on Disney Visa ($5) = $130 less $14.80 for Paypal Fees and $18.82 for eBay fees and you finish with $96.38.

So...$96.38 plus the initial $27.05 gives you a total of $123.43 that you make on a $500 gift card. How many dippings is that? :)

Note: This is all hypothetical...I'm sure there is something illegal in this equation...probably mail fraud by using eBay to purchase something you already own or something like that....so, don't try this at home.....federal offense.....disclaimer....etc.

This was seriously brilliant.

Although I would be a little chicken to try it myself.
