I know WDW has Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but does DLP do anything special for the holidays? Oh I hope so. I know this question gets asked a lot but how busy is the holiday season at DLP. Can you give me an idea what the average wait time for rides as an example? More than likely, we will be going to Paris and on to Italy the week before and after Christmas and I was trying to fiqure out how crowded things would be and when we needed to book our resort. We've been to DLP in early 2000 for 2 nights and stayed at the Sequoia Lodge. We enjoyed our time but didn't really get to see the park enough since we went into Paris one day. This time around we will probably stay at Disneyland hotel.

No DLP don't do an event like MVMCP. There is the Enchanted Fairy Tale Ceremony where they light up the Castle, christmas tree and Main Street every evening (though this may be replaced by the similar Candlabration this year, as part of the 15th Anniversary celebrations.) They also do Fantillusion (a nighttime parade like Spectromagic) every evening. There is more information about the Christmas season here.

Are you planning to visit over Christmas itself, or just sometime during the Christmas season, which starts from about mid November? I've never been over Christmas, but reports have varied as to how busy it can get - on the whole I would asumed it will be very busy. It's definitely quieter during the weeks leading up to Christmas, and if you can avoid visiting the parks at weekends you will find it even better. :)
