Does DL hit capacity on July 4th?

...just wondering how safe we would be park hopping that day...we want to a PTN dining package that evening, but as we only have a day and half, we will pop into DCA at some point. Hate to be caught outside!

Yes on the 4th DL usually hits capacity at some point in the afternoon. Now how long the gates will stay closed is a different story, but would guess late afternoon may be the busiest as people start showing up for the fireworks.
