Yup. Our pick up was at 10:30 outside our terminal and between all of the stops at OTHER terminals and the stops at all the OTHER resorts (we were last), it was 90 minutes. Rolled into GCH at 12:00 straight up.
Never again.
Well that could definitely happen with SuperShuttle. Not that you will be planning on SS, but the OP wanted to know the difference.
I got SS at Ontario airport once, we waited....then finally got going, only to have the driver loop around the airport again.

I had my then 3 year old with me and he was tired and we were quite excited to get where we were going, and the driver didn't even tell me what we were doing as he looped back around. It was very annoying.
Then on the other hand, I had a driver NOT do the loop from SNA...we did wait a little bit, but he finally decided that his scheduled (me) and unscheduled (some guy) passengers were it...luckily we were staying at hotels right next to each other so there was no waiting for the other.
When we took DE, our terminal was a later one. We actually walked up two terminals b/c we didn't want to wait *outside* for that time. We knew perfectly well what time the bus was supposed to get to our terminal, so we'd have waited that length of time anyway, but it was just really boring and smelly waiting outside with the cigarettes and no place to sit, etc, so we purposely got on board ahead of time.
There are many terminals at LAX, that's for sure, but it didn't bug us (other than our excitement to get there) to stop for other excited passengers. Of course, we were staying at DLH and that's generally the first stop *from* the airport, and the true departure hotel on the way *to* the airport.
OP if you look on
this page you can get the PDF of the route they should take FROM the hotel TO the airport. Looks like they have a bit more leeway when coming from the airport, but the route they took with the previous poster is not something that is always going to happen. I've read many varying ways the drivers take...
