Does Disneyland ever open earlier than posted opening time?

If Disneyland says it's opening time is 10:00, does it ever open a little earlier? What time should I plan on being at the gate if it opens at 10:00?

The gates open at 9:30 but the rope doesn't drop until 10am. I'm not sure how far into the park you can get before 10am but it's no farther than Main Street.

This is funny, we were waiting to get past Main Street, and My friend's son decided to see if he would get caught going into tomorrowland, he didn't, but he got in trouble with his mom :-D
