Does Disney offer "gifts" for their presentations?

I was just wondering if Disney offers gifts for their presentations at SSR? It would be a lot easier for me to get hubby to a presentation if they offered something like free tickets, free golf, etc.

You will also get an ice cream cone at the very end.

We got a lunch voucher and really appreciated that as we took an entire afternoon of our vacation to take the tour.

It really depends when you go what they are offering.

The funny thing is that Disney does not have to offer anything and they still have people lining up to take the tour.

Plus a souvenir photo of you and ice cream sundaes. And a free small meal certificate, for each person attending. (Probably worth ~$6-9.)

Just curious, but if it takes a gift in order for you husband to listen to the presentation, what will it take to get him to purchase?

Only speaking for us, but the only reason we took the presentation was because we were going to buy. We just used the presentation to learn the program.

Good luck... :drinking:

We went to the SSR tour in April and got 4 Quick and Casual food vouchers. There was me, DH, DS6 and DS4. One voucher for each of us. We saved about $50 on lunch that day. You get a drink, a meal(also a side if it doesnt come with one) and a dessert. We took the tour and now we are just waiting til August for our closing.

Let's see, a lot of compromise on my part.

Golf 1 or 2 (might take more) times during every trip depending on length (let's not forget the discount golf card)
Making Disney trips a lot more relaxed than in the past
Maybe going every other year to Disney by banking points and making trips longer. (I will try to avoid this one.)
Certain other "benefits" that he would require, if you know what I mean.

Any other suggestions for compromises I can make?

The only reluctance my DH had was that he had to be able to pay for it all up front, so we took the tour, and then waited 4 years before buying! I can not tell you how hard we are BOTH kicking ourselves for that one! It cost us the free passes and some extra perpoint costs.

For what it's worth I toured 10 days ago (bought while I was there and got my acceptance today)..... I got a dish of ice cream and 2 super-fast passes. Each card let me swipe it for an immediate fast pass. My guide said they would work for 2 rides a piece, but I used them for the next 4 days and had success everywhere but Soarin.

Anyways, for me those were just nice perks, I got what I really went for, 200 points at SSR :cheer2:

We were told if we were staying on Disney property that we were elegible for food vouchers.
WE didn't get them. Guide also wasn't able to cut his sale spiel down to size. It was 30 minutes of info and seeing the rooms, 90 minutes wasted. We had to leave early.
PArt of it was stuff like showing us on a fancy computer screen the regular financing rate is 14.5 %. VIP financing is 9.75. And monthly payments are such and such. Also here is the world of prechosen vacations that can be traded into complete with having to walk to a separate building and stand while TV screens showed all possible resorts. Just cheesy sales stuff and fluff.
Planned to buy resale anyway unless SSR was irresistible.

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge last October. We recieved a packet at check-in that stated if we did the tour of Saratoga, they would give us a hundred dollar voucher. We scheduled the tour in the lobby of Wilderness Lodge and showed the lady the coupon. She didn't batt an eye. We went and didn't buy. They still presented us with 2 fifty dollar vouchers for anything at Disney World. Also got our free ice cream. Went and used the vouchers at Art of Disney. :cool1: Bought resale at VWL

I think I could get him to go for $100 in vochers! And I would go just for the ice cream! :)

In December I got 2 2 day park hopper passes plus a discounted room at POFQ.
