does Disney hassle you if you bring lunches?

at MK last year i remember reading somwhere that Disney "discourages" you from bringing food into the parks. i didn't give it too much thought at the time, but i think this year i'd like to bring our lunches. but i'm envisioning security issues at the security checkpoint before the turnstiles ("sorry mister, i can't let you thru with those pbj's"). anyone get any hassles for doing this?

No you won't get hassled. we had to bring lunch in for a child with severe food allergies. He had his own lunchbox and the security guards were fine with it. I wouldn't go overboard though, only for the reason that you'll be held up waiting while they search through everything.

I've seen lots of people eating lunches they've brought into the park. I don't think it will be a problem.
