Does Disney extend park hours?

I am looking at the November 2014 calendar that Disney just released and MK closes at 9pm 11/2-11/6. Which are the days that we will be staying at the BLT. Do they ever extend the hours as we get closer to November? With a 4 year old and a 6 year old, I'm not thinking we would stay out for so much longer than 9pm, but it feels like it's cutting our time shorter.

TIA!

Disney will often make changes to park hours based in anticipated crowd level. I've even had then extend hours from 10PM to 1 AM at about noon on the day of due to higher than expected crowds. Obviously there is no guarantee, but contrary to popular belief Disney wants everyone to have a great time, and extending park hours is one way to allow people to do more on crowded days.

I have also seen then change them a month or so out based on high reservations or similar data. Of course I wouldn't mind the earlier closing to have shorter lines and less crowded streets.

Yep, they do it all the time. The change can take place right up to the day before so keep watching the time calendars.

Sometimes they'll even extend hours the same day.

Just last week, they closed MK, DHS and AK an hour later due to the high crowds.

1) Yes, they do change times.
2) During your vacation period, HIGHLY doubtful, as it is not overly crowded.

Eeeehhh, I don't know about that -- it's Jersey Week. When we were there for Jersey Week in 2012 all of the park hours were extended in the weeks leadingup to our trip -- adding both early openings and later closings. It really did a number on my ADR plans! I was happy to have the extra time in the parks, but my pre-rope drop breakfasts were no longer PRE-rope drop :scared:

You can get an idea by looking at last years hours as they should be the same this year. You should be able to find the hours through Google.

I was there at Jersey Week last November (2013) and the closing times were listed at 9 PM for months. About three weeks (and it could have been sooner, but that is when I saw it), I noticed that for several nights the Magic Kingdom had been pushed back to 10 PM. For what it's worth...

That is the transition week between the Halloween parties and the Christmas parties and normally the in park is not very heavy so there is not much chance of extensions. Also be advised that that week has limited night parades "normally", as it is a transition week.

Where did you get the November hours? The Disney site only lists up to OCT?
