Does disney do anything special for you on your anniversary?

On our 5th Anniversary we stayed at CSR and recieved a ballon arrangement and a card signed by the characters with confetti all over the bed. Very sweet * swoon * Disney magic!!!!

On our 10th anniversary we splurged for the BC and got nothing at all. We booked the exact room we wanted so we were in heaven staying in a deluxe for the first time with out other family members.

Our 15th at AKL was over the top. We booked CL for the first time and the day of our sunrise safari we woke up and went to the lounge to catch the bus. The CM guide gave us the anniversary buttons. We had a card waiting for us at breakfast after the safari. Then when we got back to the room they had it all decorated with a cake and towel animals and confetti. Our son (23 mo) was jumping up and down yelling Mickey Happy ( he thought it was for his birthday) which was actually a week away. This was the best anniversary of all, very special and I didnt ask for any of it, expected nothing and the magic just kept coming our way that day. Even at dinner they gave us a little cupcake sized cake that day.

Have fun and enjoy.

i guess the moral of the story is, don't ask for anything and perhaps you'll get something. even a signed post card from mickey symbolizing a little acknowledgement is nice. It sounds like most of you who have received something asked for nothing. Just tell the CM when making reservations and hope for the best! It's more magical if something is offered without expecting anything. Thanks guys for sharing your experiences:)

At Liberty Tree Tavern they make a heart out of Confetti for us.. It wasn't a lot but it was still very sweet I thought, I kept the confetti.. It was Mickey heads..

I forgot -- they did that for us at Crystal Palace when we had our anniversary dinner there. :) They also gave us anniversary cupcakes for dessert. It was such a fun way to celebrate!

Since message boards like the DIS have become so popular, more and more guests note special occasions in the hope of receiving a little extra "magic". Unfortunately, that seems to have made the possibilities of any one set of guests receiving it much slimmer. It is the same way with the pins. I used to see the once in awhile while at the parks or DTD. Yesterday, I stopped by DTD and then Epcot. I'd say one out of ten people were wearing either a birthday, anniversary, just married or first time pin. There are just too many people who know about this now for the CMs to acknowledge everyone...especially with something special.

I agree with the previous posters. Go expecting nothing and be thrilled if you get something. Or, arrange your own surprise. Ask someone to put something together for you and let them use their imagination. People tend to want to control exactly what they order. Sometimes a surprise is nice!

Happy Anniversary! I hope you have a wonderful trip!

:) We were at CSR last year for our anniversary. We had been at WDW the month before and had some service issues so I had emailed guest services. The day before we left I got a phone call in response to my e-mail. I told the rep my story but said it hadn't spoiled WDW for me because we were leaving the next day for a long weekend. I told her I was sure the magic would be back for me this stay. She told me to look out for a surprise. On our second night there we came back to our room and there was a HUGE gift basket and balloons on the bed. Luckily we had packed our smaller suitcase inside of a big one in case I did some shopping at DTD, the stuff from the basket filled the suitcase.:)

I just celebrated my BDay at Coronado Springs. I had it noted on my ressie and received nothing special......not even a mention of it. On my BDay, I left a note for mousekeeping that it was my BDay and that I love towel animals (really, I wanted them for my DD9)......nothing. It is easier not to hope for anything. It is a bummer when you are hopeful and let them know...and they don't even leave a birthday note for you.

We were just at the Poly in Feb. celebrating our 10th anniversary. We did not expect anything either. They did however upgrade us and brought a huge basket of treats with an autographed pic of Chip and Dale. It was a nice surprise!! :)

We were also treated at CRT with complimentary fluted champagne glasses only b/c our great waitress saw my anniversary button.:)

We specified on our actual anniversary date at Le Crellier on our reservations and NO special treatment whatsoever.:confused3

So, Just as others have mentioned don't expect anything and you'll be surprised.

Definitely wear your anniversary buttons. It's always great to hear a CM as you walk into the park say to you, "Happy Anniversary".

I'm hoping for a little extra Disney magic when we go for our wedding and honeymoon in August. Neither of us have been to WDW before, but even if we receive nothing I would be happy regardless. We are booked to stay 3 nights CBR, 4 nights POFQ, 7 nights AKL and 3 nights DCL. I have noted it on all of my reservations but I may plan something anyway.;)

We are going 11 days this summer. Celebrating our 15th anniversary and DD 7th B-day. Not expecting anything. Our TA put in on our ressie, but we probably won't say anything when we arrive at POR. If we get something that would be fantastic! But, we are going with NO expectation. We are just happy to be at WDW for the occasion!!!
