does DDP cause lackluster service?

has anybody been on the disney dining plan, and felt they recieved lackluster service @ the restaurant once they let the wait staff know they were on the ddp. Only resaurant i still recieved good service @ was le cellier, but other then that once they found out we were on the ddp the service sucked.

We just returned yesterday from our 8-night visit using the free dining plan, and found every single server we encountered very friendly and helpful.

Only once or twice were we even asked if we were on the dining plan before ordering, but that was because we were ordering "off" the plan (cappuccino at Crystal Palace, beer at ESPN) and the server wanted to make sure he/she wrote up separate tickets.

We had wonderful experiences, and many of the servers spent time talking to us about our vacation and how we were enjoying ourselves.

I always mentioned I was on the dining plan prior to ordering and asked the server to make sure I was in compliance. I had great service at every meal. I added an additional 10% tip at every meal based on the excellent service.
