I have waited on standby for an earlier flight, and there was no charge at all.

Thanks. I will call Continenal a few days before the trip (May) but I wanted some idea right now. My sister's flight leaves after 2 pm and my flight leaves around 10 am. Since I'm the one renting the car, She's have to sit in the airport the whole day. I was hoping she could fly our standby earlier.

Not that I'm complaining, I got her tickets for $150 pp rt from Kansas City.
