Do you clean your house after being sick?

I've been really sick with a nasty bug the last three days. Finally, I feel better (slightly) today. And all I want to do is clean! I need to get the bags of tissues, Tylenol boxes, washcloths, and magazines put away!

My bed looks (to me) like a sick bed. I ripped off all the sheets, duvet cover, shams, even the mattress pad and put them in the laundry. I dusted everything and sprayed the bedroom down with Lysol. I might even buy new pillows. Feels soooo good!

After I'm sick is the only time I get really motivated to clean the house so I'm trying to take advantage. ;)

Yes. Exactly.

While I'm sick I clean when I'm bored. (Assuming I have the strength.) Well, actually it's more like tidying and organizing.

After I'm sick I'm a cleaning fiend until I think everything is fresh again.

DS just got over the chicken pox. He spent 8 consecutive days on the couch. I wouldn't let anyone else sit there for 2 days afterward so the couch could "heal." Somewhat irrational, I know, (we'd all been exposed just by living with him) but it made me feel better. :p

I'm the same. I don't want to clean when I am sick, but I always know when I am starting to feel better, not because I am actually feeling all that better, but because I need to clean!

Bored, sick, pink of health, intoxicated--no! I never 'feel' like cleaning :rotfl2:

YES!! that is me exactly.

I also have had the lovely gastroenteritis over the past few days, vomiting all day tuesday, worked wednesday (so wrong, I know), sat on the toliet and cried (out of sheer frustration) while pooping out battery acid all day thursday (i'll never believe another commercial about those oh so gentle baby wipes again, the sting had me in intense pain.)

There is enough bleach flowing around this house to turn night into day, and I had the windows opened yesterday. I didn't care how cold it was.
I just want to throw most things out and scrub whats left with bleach.
As soon as I have the energy, I will.

I'm kind of sick right now & I've washed all the bedding, vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen with bleach water, and cleaned the bathrooms. I want the germs gone.

But I look and feel like Hell.

:confused3 Nothing makes me want to clean.:rotfl2:

I'm the opposite.

Needing to clean, makes me feel sick:sick:

Me too!

After I have been sick for awhile the house is such a mess I don't even know where to begin and it makes me tired just thinking about it!

I think I'm sick because I love to clean:lmao:

I love to do this also. I am just so sick:sick: I need more energy. Hoping tomorrow is better. I have been stuffed up since Tuesday night, had to work all week, and have a stupid shower tonight.:sad1:

I want to clean & rearrange the furniture if I'm angry. Everyone is really nice to me when they come home to a clean house that is redecorated.:love1:

If I had the urge to clean, DH would think I was really sick. Like take me to the emergency room sick.

Does being sick make you want to clean?
I misread this as "DOG being sick make you want to clean?" And my answer was going to be no it does not make me want to clean, but I have to clean it up anyway whether I want to or not.

I do the basics after someone is sick. Wash all the bedding, pick up around the house, wash down the bathroom, get new toothbrushes.

HOwever, this week my dog was really sick. I have never cleaned the carpet and the house so much!!
