The basic dining plan doesn't seem like much, but then the deluxe dining plan seems like too much. I'm trying to figure it out, and it seems like we'd be eating more than we'd be in the parks. Is it just me or would be nice to have a mid price for say $54.99 and one less meal per day? Judt a thought!

I think the deluxe plan was introduced to be the in between plan.

2005-2007 only options were dining plan or premium plan. (Maybe one more:confused3 )

Many of us felt the dining plan wasn't enough. However, the other plan included options we didn't need.

The deluxe plan adds extra meals, without all the recreation options.

I don't believe Disney will ever have plans that will meet the needs of all families.

be careful what you wish for........:rolleyes1 lol

i thought perhaps a MYW dining would work......
but remember when they changed the passes to accomodate all the ppl that felt the old type of passes were "unfair" (paying for hopping & non-expring when they didn't use them).
so, they came out with MYW passes ~ now ppl complain that they have to pay extra for what used to be included :confused3 (even tho the base rates are less).

simply, there's no way to please everyone. we'll just continue to get the DDP (still an excellent value for us:thumbsup2 ), & pay OOP for the extras. :)

I agree. The deluxe plan is the compromise.
