That is about the only show that I watch. I work a couple nights a week, and we spend a lot of time outside, but Judging Amy is one show that I will not miss. I had to tape it last night because I had to work. I just got done watching it, and I love that show. Anyone else?

::yes:: :goodvibes

I also love knowing the shows are based on her real life Mother.
She used to dress up in her Mom's judge's robes when she was a child.
Alot of the stories are her Mom's real cases.

Ya gotta love that!!

Great show! I didn't know any background about it though, it being based on her mother is so cool!!!
Thanks for that tidbit.

Was last night the season finale?

Yes, last night was the season finale. It was good too. My husband was threatened with his life if he didn't come through. Did you know that Adian Pascar (sp?) who plays David is married to Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks.

Who do you like better for Amy David or Bruce?

Another huge fan here. I absolutely love Tyne Daly, and would watch her in pretty much anything.

SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN IT !!!

I liked last night's show a lot. I liked it when Gillian ( Jillian?) got her comeuppance from Peter. I loved it when Vincent showed up at the end. I have missed him a lot. I thought the whole "Kyle changing careers again" was over the top, but I am willing to forgive it. I prefer Amy single...I just find the stories more interestng when she is, but tht's just me. I hope the fight between Maxine and the new beau does not mean he is leaving the show. I thought he was a credible replacement for the much missed Richard Crenna...a completely different character, yet somehow a plausible love interest for Maxine. On a final note......doesn't Maxine make senior sex look good?

Waaaaaaaaaaa! I missed it last night AND last week!!!

Could someone please fill me in on the past 2 weeks? Please, please, pretty please????? :(

Well....last night
Sean accidently let it slip to Maxine that her new boyfriend was still married to his wife. So Maxine told him to go to hell and slammed the door in his face.

David told Amy he was in love with her and she fell into his arms and his bed ( the way they always do ). The next morning they were awakened by a phone call saying they had found a match to the fingerprint found at the scene of David's wife's murder. So David got dressed and ran off much to Amy's displeasure.

Kyle did a ride along with a cop...got out of the car when he was not supposed to ( big surprise ) and got shot ( winged ) in the arm. He has decided to become a doctor who rides along with cops.

Gillian was all upset that Peter went to NYC with the chick in the band. Peter told her it was all her fault..she was the one who said she was no longer in love with him, and if their marriage was over, she had been the cause of the ending.

Amy presided over a case of a high school student who had a web site that led the authorities to believe he wa a potential danger to his fellow students. They also found a hit list in his locker. Amy let him off with counselling..it seemed like the right thing to do. The kid shot and killed his parents and his little sister. The show ended with the papparazzi camped on Amy's lawn.

Vincent came home and asked if he and Peter could share bunk beds.

And know wht...I cannot remember a single thig about last week's show....this darned short term memory thing is a real pain in the butt.

David appears back in Amy's life and ready to talk. However, she is still angry over his leaving her and breaks up officially with him. Meanwhile, she has to preside over a case of a boy who keeps running away to join the circus. She tells his parents to be a little more understanding of his dreams and perhaps go on the road with him as he preforms. She also tells the boy to be more patient with his parents because they are trying their best. She then gives Lauren permission to join Victor at a skateboarding park only to later learn that Victor was hit by a speeding car. She and David rush to the hospital and wait it out together as Victor barely hangs on to life. She deals with her conflicts with religion and lights a candle for Victor and asks for a prayer for herself and Lauren from the priest. Victor pulls through and David again tries to talk to her, but she puts him off and says that they can only be friends because she is not willing to put up with his disappearing acts anymore.

Maxine stands by a girl who claims she was sexually abused by a man in the park, only to find out that the girl made it all up to get out of being in trouble with her foster mother. The cops arrest her for filing bogus charges. Then, the girl turns nuts as she starts to yell that first the foster mother and then Maxine were the ones who abused her. Maxine, understanding that the girl has completely lost it, leaves the room. Meanwhile. it is Ignacio's mother's birthday and she has to attend. She finds that she is not the only one his mother hates as she meets Ignacio's ex-wife's boyfriend. Sean also shows up on the arm of Ignacio's daughter, Courtney and, with everyone thinking he will be hated too, he steals the grandmother's heart by singing a cheesy Mexican song to her. Maxine just rolls her eyes as if to say, "Whatever!"

I love this show. I hope Amy ends up with David. I think it would be nice if Amy and David got married and maybe started their own family. Except if they did get married that would be very weird for Lauren and David's son (I forget his name). Amy and Bruce are just too good of friends and I wouldn't want that to get messed up. Maxine is just too funny. I always enjoy her little comments - especially the last comment she had for her boyfriend in last nights episode.

It was funny they way Vincent came back.

As far as Peter and Jillian, I don't really care. I think Jillian is really annoying and Peter isn't much better.

Even Lauren wasn't too bratty. Sometimes I think she needs an atttitude adjustment!

I've always thought they left it wide open for something to happen between Amy and Bruce. However, a couple weeks ago Bruce and Amy were talking and Bruce said how he could never date a woman other than a black one because of his culture and just what it stands for, no matter how much he might fall in love with someone. So, if he and Amy did decide that they had to be together then that really makes him look bad.

I too think it would be good to see Amy settle down with David. She's really had some bad luck with dating. It would be nice to see her happy. It would be weird for Lauren and Victor. But, David is quite hot, and they belong together.

I was very disappointed with Maxine and Ignosio. They were a good couple. He made her see the light of the death of her other guy. Hopefully that will be worked out in the next season. Wouldn't it be nice if it was a daily soap instead????

Thanks all!

Now one more question.. Wasn't Vincent married to a woman who was battling cancer? What happened with that? Did she die? Did they divorce?

Oh - and another question.. I also missed the episode where Maxine's fiancee (Jarod, was it?) disappeared.. Did he die or what?

Guess I'm going to have to watch all the reruns if they play them all summer.. LOL

Vincent came back earlier in the season and I believe that he said that him and his girlfriend/wife seperated. Someone correct me on that if I'm wrong.

Jarod died. The actor actually died, quite suddenly, I believe, so they had to plan it in to the show. That was very sad, and I bawled. I do remember that much.

I have last night's taped, but since someone shared it all, I guess you don't have to watch it now. Otherwise, you could borrow mine.

Vincent's wife left him for her oncologist.

They killed Jared off with a heart attack because the actor who played him, Richard Crenna, of The Real McCoys and Our Miss Brooks, died of cancer ( at least I believe it was cancer )

Since Friends is over I just started watching it again. I know they are not on the same night, but I usually only watch TV once a week. Ihave a question, I was channel surfing and missed why Maxine got mad at her boyfriend (Cheech).

Well, Ignosio forgot to mention that he is still married to his wife. Sean, who is dating Ignosio's daughter told Sean, and Sean made a comment to Maxine who didn't know. Maxine and Ignosio were talking about taking a trip someplace in the fall. The choices were China, Spain, and Ireland. When Ignosio came to the door he wanted to go somewhere and talk about their trip. She said, "No, let's do it here." And, then something like, "I've decided. I'll go to Ireland, and you can go to hell." Then she slammed the door in his face.

Sean, who is dating Ignacio's daughter ( and chatting with her on the computer all the time, and whatever IM they are using makes disgusting kissy sounds whenever they message each other, but I digress......) was told by said daughter that Ignacio and his wife had never divorced. Sean assumed Maxine knew this and teased her about dating a married man. Maxine was not a happy camper, needless to say !

I read on a Judging Amy message board that they weren't going to do reruns this summer. I thought they said they would have some reruns in June, but for the rest of the summer they were going to put shows like Amazing Race and movies in its time slot. I hope they are wrong.

I also read on the message board that they are getting new writers.

Luckily here I get to watch the older episodes on TNT twice a day (at 12:00 and 4:00)
