Does anyone understand this Liberty Mutual commercial?

First of all, I've never seen a caricature artist dressed like that. Usually it's some sort of amusement park uniform. However, what I don't get is the ominous music as he's looking at it before saying that he doesn't get it. Is it that suspenseful?

The other commercials they've put out are odd, but not this odd.

Their commercials are so strange IMO. I get that they are trying to tell you they see you as an individual, but I don't get the connection with the artist, the camera guy and the weird music. Her rendition of him seems spot on, but yet he doesn't see it. Not sure what that means. LOL.

No, it's weird! I thought it was just me missing something. Maybe that's the point. I have paid closer attention when it comes on, to try to figure out what I was missing. Now I know it's a trick. LOL

I don't get why insurance companies get to make the most irrelevant commercials.
Is it because they are a joke themselves.

Now if we could just get rid of "Mr Mayhem" Some of these insurance commercials are just plain strange!

That actor has a missing finger and missing toes.

i been hating on them all. Love my DVR to fast forward through them. Is it Progressive that is now running the half man/half motorcycle ones? Those are really dumb too.

........................ I don't see it.

(my kids love this one and 'Liberty Bibberty'.... all they watch lately is Full House on Hulu and they seem to play 80% Liberty Mutual commercials...)

The idea of the commercial isn't really all that bad, with the super long bill of the cap and the 6 foot long sandwich. I just can't get what the music is supposed to signify. It sounds like something more sinister than "I don't see it" is coming.

SNL had a skit where the Principal of a high school is online for their graduation, and discusses the requests that students made for keynote speakers. I won't post it here because there is a little politics involved, but this was the list of requests other than a few politicians:

Axel Rose, murder hornets, the Limu emu, that dude from 90 Day Fiance who looks like a hedgehog, and the Elon Musk/Grimes baby.

Are they're saying all insurance customers are unique
while implying a caricature artist's job is similar
because they too focus on uniqueness for emphasis

but this artist did not do that because the guy already had a stupid hat and sandwich

So LM doesn't even need to emphasize our stupidity when overcharging premiums for our uniqueness?

No those are way beyond dumb to a level that has yet to be named.

Really what is Progresive saying, we hired incompetence and rely on one worker.

Ha ha ha. :rotfl: Poor Flo.

Although I don't mind Jamie. The ones with him as the lead are usually funny. (I still like the after school special one)

Ugh, the new character, Mara. Please make her go away. She is so annoying! Make it stop.

I think they are just trying to saturate the airwaves with Liberty Mutual to get their name back into the culture. I mean, until the past year, I don't think I had heard Liberty Mutual mentioned anywhere for 40 years.

But ads can draw attention, and not improve sales of a product. Case in point. Joe Isuzu. A well known fictional character, but sales of Isuzu branded cars actually fell in the four years he did the ads. Supposedly more Isuzu made cars were sold in the U.S. with the Chevrolet name on them during that time.
