Does anyone still have the link or directions for the fleece blanket

My DD's is red with black Mickey symbols and the contrast is black. It's really cute!

I've been thinking about how I could make winter scarves out of the wide strips I have left over. I wonder if they'd be cute tied all around if you made the scarf narrow enough or if you would sew down the sides and just tie the ends? What do you guys think? I think there are some fleece mitten and scarf patterns out there. Maybe I need to make a trip to the fabric store.

I think if I were making a scarf, I'd sew the long edges and only have the fringe on the end. Otherwise, it would get very annoying and tangled in things, I think.

I may have to give the scarf and pillow idea a try. DS and DD are both changing the decor of their rooms. Might be fun to do pillow to match, and they would work up fast!

I think these are the cutest! I've never seen the idea for the no-sew blankets. My grandma out in CA has been giving out fleece blankets for YEARS. All she does is collect fleece on sale year round, then cuts it to the size she wants it (my husband is most impressed by this because he can never find a blanket long enough), then surges around the edges. Easy, easy, easy.

I know that's not a no-sew blanket, but it's extremely easy. Everyone looks forward to getting Gma's Christmas box in the mail. She and gpa roll them up and tie them with the left over fleece, kind of like a sleeping bag. Even though we all know what we're getting, it's exciting to see what patterns they've picked out for each one of us. She had a heart transplant last year so gpa's been doing the serging.....what a great team.

I may just have to try one of these no-sews and send it out to them!

As for the scarf you can just trim it to the length you want, fringe the edge and you're done. Ploar fleece doesn't fray so you don't even need to hem it. If you want a more finished edge you can hem the long sides and just fringe the ends. Polar fleece sews great and the seams roll in to themselves. I love using it! For mittens you can trace around the persons hand and add a 1/4 to 1/2 seam allowance. Cut this out and stitch. Its really simple.

My 8th graders are making quillows this year out of polar fleece. It is basically a blanket that flolds into it's own pocket to make a pillow. Here's a link
