Does anyone still do the lime green ribbons/bandanas?

Hi there,
I was just wondering if anyone from the boards still displays the lime green ribbons when they are in the world? On our first trip we did and ran into someone from the board (creditman?) at MGM. Also, I put the ribbons in my daughters hair. For some reason (I think the ride was temporarily closed she she stayed out and chatted.) we were waiting near Wendy at Peter Pan's Flight and I was explaining the lime green ribbons. It was fun.Capt. Hook kept pulling on them. Of course, I also went up to someone who had a lime green bandana who wasn't from the boards and they just thought I was crazy Just wondering...

I plan on having my LG Mickeys...on my pack when I go in July.

Yes many still use the lime green ribbons, some also use buttons and some wear lime green shirts.

i'll be wearing my DIS shirt and lime and DIS button and lime............oh, just look for me!!

We put lime green on everything but we never did see anyone from here!

Can you still buy ribbons,etc. with the DIS logo?? I thought there was a store at one point.

i don't think you can buy ribbons w/ DIS logo, but there is still a store here!

I made the biggest fool of myself just the other day in line for IASW. I saw a whole family...7-8 people...with lime green shirts on. I told DH, "They've got to be from the DIS...I'm going to ask them." He was shocked because I am a pretty shy person.

So I wave and wave and get their attention and mouth, "Are you from the DIS?" and they couldn't understand me so we go back and forth for awhile. "The DIS...it's an internet board about Disney", "We don't know what you're talking about"... Finally they just tell me they wore pink one day, orange the next, and today was lime green. I'm sure the people around me thought I was crazy. I was glad to get on my boat and sail away.

I usually have some kind of lime green on us or the backpack but have never met anyone.

way to go nkjzmom congrats for being brave enuf to ask!!!! FWIW: I would have HAD to ask too....THAT many lime green shirts....I'd thought the same thing!

I wore my LG Mickey all week last year and didn't meet any others. I plan on wearing it again this year but I will initiate more conversations when I see green on someone else. I may also write, "I'm a Diser, ask me." on my Mickey. Don't be afraid to ask if you see it!!

Just came back on Saturday. Saw a lot of lime green shirts, but just couldn't be sure. I kept looking for some type of identification. I think the tags on the backpacks are a great idea.

I need to wear lime green , or have Lime green attatched to me so can meet others from the bioard. I am really excited to find a group of people as fanaticall about Disney World as I am. first, welcome to the DIS and be prepared for it to run your life! once you find us, it's easy to get lost in "our disney world"!! our official board color is lime green. so, if you happen to see someone wearing lime in WDW, they might be from these boards. most try to use the alien (lime green) mickey heads (paint samples from home depot) as a DIS ID...any lime will do, but it's easier to ID a DISer if they have something with DIS on it!

This will be my first trip as a "Diser" so I will be wear a LG ribbon on my pack. I will be there on Saturday - Tuesday staying at BCV. Hope to see other Dis members there.

We'll have our Mickey Heads from Home Depot attached to our backpacks, we'll have LIME GREEN ribbon with "DIS BOARDS" and JOSHSMOM written on them attached on our backpacks, I have my DIS Water Wallet around my neck, and I have a DIS T-shirt that I will be wearing one day out of the 8. SO, I BETTER meet SOMEONE down there or I will be TOTALLY DISappointed!!!!!!!!!!
