My apologies to tvguy, but I have seen this type of post for over two years and every time it makes me laugh.
My family doesn't like to dress up, but we make an effort because we feel it is appropriate. Regardless, we couldn't give a hoot about the other people dining with us. If they choose to wear bathing suits or tuxedos and gowns it wouldn't bother us one way or the other.
You see, our fun is derived from our family and we don't care what others do. It certainly doesn't affect our fun, so we laugh when cruisers spend so much time critiquing what others wear.
If someone else affects your fun then maybe you need to reconsider your priorities.

BTW...we don't skip formal night and don't care to get too involved in what others think. Please don't forget "You Are On Vacation!".
