Does Anyone See Disney On Broadway?

Love love love Newsies!!!! I saw it on Broadway before it closed and then a few months ago on tour. I've seen The Lion King several times and love it, although some productions have been better than others. I wasn't overly impressed with Beauty and the Beast or 101 Dalmatians.

I'll never forget when Heather Headly won her Tony for Aida (a Disney show), she gushed that she "would work for Disney for the rest of her life". There was an audible gasp from the audience and if you listened hard enough, you could hear everyone's eyes roll.

Priced out the touring company of Newsies that's coming through town in February. It would cost us almost $500 for a family of four to attend one evening's performance.

This is one area where Disney has priced me out.

I forgot Aida was Disney. I saw that when it came through LA 15 years ago.

I'm taking it you saw both of these on tour and not the Original Broadway Production of BatB?
I should have been more clear. I saw 101 Dalmations on tour and B&B on Broadway. I've seen the Lion King on Broadway, in London's West End and on tour.

My son and I went to see Aladdin on Broadway in July. It was incredible. Very funny. The theater is an attraction on its own. The tickets were not cheap, but it was worth it in my opinion. I live in the Dallas, TX area and have seen touring productions of The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast and Newsies. All were good, though I have my favorites. The choreography and set design for Newsies was spectacular!
