On our very first trip to Disney World - back in the 80's - we stayed at this beautiful, brand spanking new hotel called "The Orlando Heritage Inn".. It was located at 9861 International Drive.. It resembled an old Florida plantation - with the front being somewhat of an octagon shape.. It was SOOO elegant and beautiful!

On our trip to Orlando in 2001, we tried to see if it was still there (perhaps under another name) but I didn't have the exact address, so I couldn't find it..

I would LOVE to know if anyone has any information on this place or what happened to it.. When we go back in December I will take the address with me and see if I can find it then..

Anyone here ever stay there - or know what became of the place?

C.Ann, you were reading my mind! I was going to post about a hotel I stayed in back in 1983 (not this one)! So, mind if I tack onto your thread???

On my only trip to WDW, back in April 1982, our marching band stayed at the Court of Flags Hotel. I have no idea what road it was on. I just remember that there were 2 or 3 really tall buildings and 2 fancy shaped pools. I did a Google search and came up empty handed. Anyone have any ideas????
