Does anyone remember the Steam Train that used to go around Ft. Wilderness?

I DO! I cannot believe it only lasted 4 years. It was so neat to ride around the area and drop off point at River Country. Anyone have any old Photos of it?

We don't have any pictures, but I do remember it. It was fun.

The railroad was long gone before I ever made my first trip to WDW. But I have walked the route of the old line, and salvaged a few old spikes and plates!

COOL! My Friend just called to tell me she found the train tracks over by the 700 loop! She will be sending me Pictures when she gets back home.

There are still ties buried there by 700, and the old roadbed. Over just north of the 1500 loop, in the dense brush there is still a section of track with rail there. Have to put on your safari gear, because it is pretty overgrown, but if your up for an adventure it's there.
