Does anyone really care what color Belle's dress is?

I'm really not trying to start a fight. I promise. I just wonder why people always say what color her dress is when they are referring to a character meal. I find that so odd, but maybe it's just me. Do the potatoes taste better if she has on the blue dress?

Many people (myself included) don't go to character meals for the food.

The gold dress doesn't make the potatoes taste any better but it makes the pictures I take at my $22.99 breakfast look much better.

Ah heck, I really couldn't care less, but I do understand why someone might want to know.

My example: When my DS was 5, he absolutely fell in with Belle in the blue dress. I mean stone, cold, gaga!!

I might want to know which Belle version would be at which breakfast, as it brings back warm memories for us. My DS wouldn't really consider Belle as Belle (make sense? ) if she was in her yellow dress.

Just trying to recapture some magic, I suppose.

Too funny! I had no idea she had different colored gowns! I only recently discovered she wears yellow (at least some times) - as DD is insisting on being a yellow princess for Halloween - and my search began!

I like seeing her in different dresses - the blue one was an easy costume one year - a basic blue jumper and a white apron... done!

My photos with her & beast in France, she was wearing the blue dress.

For me I also would like to know as I have loads of pics of her in her blue dress but hardly any in her yellow dress and most scrapbook embellishments have her in yellow i'd like at least 1 picture in yellow.

ok that made me laugh...but I’ll agree with the others...if i'm paying for a princess meal i do expect everyone to be dresses as princesses...I'd be annoyed if Cinderella was walking around in rags or Aurora in her wilderness wear

I was so disappointed to see Belle in the yellow dress... it just not "belle like' to me... I like her in the blue dress, loving her books and being a bit of a nerd

I personally like the yellow dress. When I think of Belle, I think of her in the yellow dress with her hair all up. I think these make for much better pictures. ALthough I personally have never done a Belle character breakfast-we did Pooh and Friends one year though.

Doesn't matter to DS-19. He has had a huge crush on Belle since he was four . At 1900 Park Fare he practically dragged his 4 y.o. brother to meet her when we saw her outside the restaurant (in the yellow gown) with no line to see her.

Actually this is the first time in seven years that we have a picture of her as a princess. It is nice to have both.

I think it's interesting to find out what dress Belle is wearing at the different meals. I actually prefer her in blue, but her yellow gown is lovely too.

It does not matter to me, but last year when we were at the PSB my DGD, who was 4 at the time refused to meet Belle. She was the "Mystery" Princess that day and dressed in her yellow gown. DGD was enchanted by Belle in her blue dress so we have no pics of Belle in yellow.

Thanks for the answers. Now I sort of understand . My kids barely even know who Belle is and, when we go to a character meal I will probably be way more interested in how the potatoes taste than the color of the dress. That's just me, though. The food is always my first consideration. I may change my mind after I've actually gone to one of the princess meals though.

I think she looks more like a "princess" in the yellow gown. In fact, when we ate at CRT a few years ago and Belle was in her blue dress w/apron, DH thought she was the waitress and asked her for some more bacon!

It matters to those who love seeing and getting pictures with all the characters. If you've already seen Belle in her peasant (blue) dress then maybe next time you'd like to see her in her yellow gown. For some people seeing and finding all the different characters is a big part in the fun on their vacations. My girls happen to love to find characters they haven't seen yet or to see a character in a different outfit. My girls have both been Belle in her yellow gown (and red Christmas dress) for Halloween so seeing her in either of those dresses would be exciting to them.

I was lucky enough to see Sleeping Beauty in both her blue and pink dress and I didn't even realize it till I posted the pictures on a character photo thread! We also got a picture with Belle in her red Christmas dress a couple of years ago. These sightings are exciting to my girls, thus they are exciting to me as well.

Seeing Ariel with legs at PSB is exciting to us since we've seen her with her fin at her Grotto several times.

Its really no biggie if we disagree on what's important. That's the magic of WDW.

Actually, Belle wears ONE gown. The yellow one would be the formal one. Her blue one would be her "plain ol' Belle" one...personally, I'd rather see Belle in her blue dress, but I think my youngest would only recognize her in her yellow gown.
