Does anyone own TeenTech Portable DVD/CD player

I just saw on ToysRUs.com the TeenTech Portable color DVD/CD player for $49.99. It would make a great x-mas gift for my tween!... I've never heard of it before does anyone own one and have an opinion thanks

wow, thats a great buy! We got one for my DD last year for christmas and its great! She uses it all the time! It seems strudy and made for a child, so thats why we went with that one.

If you read the reviews on Toys R Us website there have been alot of problems with them. We had the battery wont charge problem and after reading the reviews lately and seeing so many others we marched into our Toys R Us and complained. We were able to exchange it for a new one and also bought the warranty for $16.99 so if anything at all goes wrong with it we are covered. The manager has one and has had no problems so not sure if its only the ones with problems who happen to be posting on there or not.

For that price its not a bad deal but I would suggest checking into the warranty plan just in case. Also be advised it doesnt come with a car adapter although some have said they found one that worked. We are going to check that ou

You can buy a kit that has the car adapter at TRU. It came with the case that you hang in the car and set the player in so you can watch it hands free. I think it also came with a pair of headphones. DS got the playerfor x-mas and we got him the accesory kit for easter.

So far no problems.

That is a great price OP.. I think my sons was $99 onsale.
