Does anyone own electric scooters??

HI Dis friends,


I'm thinking about getting my 9 year old son an electric scooter for his 9th birthday in a couple of weeks. The kind that you stand on.

Any advice? Do they ride well on grass? How long does the battery last before you recharge?

My son is 7, he has one. He has the smaller one, that can only hold up to 120lbs. It rides really well on pavement, never tried it on grass. After you plug it in to charge, it will go for a couple of hours before it dies. (charge time is about an hour)

He loves it. But he gets no excercise on it!!

I'm curious also. I'm thinking about this for Christmas for my 9 yr old.

We have a gas powered “pocket rocket” which one of these mini bikes and my kids ride it in the drive way (we have a VERY long driveway) and on the street in our neighborhood. My kids used it a lot for the first year now its been 3 years since we had it and the kids are not using it as much as they use to but DH and I still play around on it sometimes.
