I'm working on getting a new power chair as eventually I will need to use it around in my home. My current power chair, a Quickie S-525 is too wide to fit through the doorways with the big drive wheels, and the turning radius to get into the two bedrooms is very tight.
I'm at the stage now where my DME sent in the referral to the physical therapist office, and I'm just waiting to hear back from them on a time to meet with the wheelchair seating specialist, and the physical therapist.
I want to go with a Quickie model power chair again as I've had such a good experience with my last one. So, I looked at the Quickie QM-720, and the Quickie Pulse 6 power chairs. I'm leaning more towards the 720 because of the Spider-Trac suspension system it features, and the fact that I am a person who gets out on the town in the summer months. So, it looks more rugged for outdoor use than the Pulse 6.
If anyone owns the Quikcie QM-720. I would love to hear your feedback on it. I'm really excited about this power chair, and am going to try to push for getting it. It's been 13 years since my S-525 was purchased, so I know my primary insurance will go for purchasing it.
