Does anyone own a Dodge Ram 1500 4X4?

We're looking at a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab 4X4 at a local dealer and I wanted to get some feedback on them. The one we're looking at is a 2001 and it has 29,000 miles on it, they're asking 19,000.

Does anyone own own of these? How do you like it? Any complaints?

I don't know if this helps, but we recently bought a similar vehicle -- a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 (bigger engine) 4x4 Crew Cab with 16,000 miles on it for around $25,000. We also did pretty well with the trade in. Seeing that the Dodge is two years older and has more miles, I think they could come down a bit.

I don't have the exact website, but if you do a search using the words "kelly blue book used vehicle", and go on that website, you can plug in all the information, and they will give you the retail value of the car.

Oh, also you might want to go over to the camping board. Since these are often used as tow vehicle, someone over there may have one.

My DH has a 99 or 2000. He really doesn't care for it that much. He feels like it can't get out of its own way (not much pick up for the engine that is in it). He just got new brakes and he likes the truck a little better. You have to drive one and see how you like it. Oh and another thing is that it sucks up the gas like most trucks. He had a roll n lock cover put on the bed and that helped some.
