I'm a vegetarian but I don't like too many vegetables. Especially broccoli. Whenever I buy Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisines, etc....I usually pick the ones with no veggies. Now Healthy Choice has gone and added veggies to the ones I normally buy! So today I ate my manicotti and now the broccoli is stinking up the garbage can!

I love vegetables....

But I'm the only person I know that does not like fruit, except grapes.

I'm not a big fan of veggies (then again, I'm a meat eater, so it's easier for me :teeth: )

DW hates fruit but loves vegetables. How we ever got together, I'll never know? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :sad2:

LOL I don't think I've ever met anyone that doesn't like fruit! Sometimes I get turned off of them for a while though, like if I eat a mushy grape or cherry.

I detest most (cooked) vegetables. I like salad though, fresh raw veggies are good.
Dd, she's 7 will eat a HUGE bowl of steamed broccoli for lunch!
We all love fresh fruit.

I like many veggies, but still hate plenty of them. Off the top of my head I can't eat peppers (possible allergy) or any salad veggie... although ocassionally I'll choke down some lettuce, but I seriously gag on it. :crazy2:
I try to eat it, but I usually just can't do it. I'll never figure out how it can be so popular. But I do love most fruits, they just for some reason give me a stomach ache from time to time.

When I was younger, I wouldn't touch veggies. Now that I'm older, I will eat a little broccolli, carrots, peas and corn. Put any veggie in a soup or stew and I love them, weird huh? I won't touch salad and really won't eat any fruit except an orange or an apple every once in a while.

I really am a meat and potatoes girl. Not a very healthy diet. :smokin:

I will join your rant. I also am a lacto-ovo vegetarian. I hate mushrooms, they are slimy and gross, dont even get me started on what they grow in.
Apparently people assume all vegetarian LOVE mushrooms. I stoped at a local Pannini place last week, asked if they could make me one with their veggies only. I should have asked, I assumed I would get the onion, peppers, cheese, etc that was listed on the other 3 sandwichs on the menu (didnt even see mushrooms listed on any of the sandwichs but I must have overlooked it). I got two kinds of cheese, two pieces of onion, 2 pieces of green onion and a sandwich full of mushrooms. I picked them off and had a $5 grilled cheese with 2 small pieces of onion and green pepper. Ugh!!!!!

I like Broccoli but avoid it for other reasons unless I am in the privacy of my own home. (it make me burp) And Salads, I dont want a salad. I am not a rabbit, I need more than a side salad in my life for dinner.

Good vent topic!

My DH "hates" and "doesn't eat" most veggies. That's just too unhealthy for me, though, so I find ways to covertly incorporate them in foods that he does eat :rotfl: For example, the pasta sauce that I made today also includes 2 pulverized carrots (one of the veggies DH "hates"). You would be surprised at how many different orange veggies I can get away with calling "sweet potatoes" once I mash them up with some other ingredients (this one never ceases to amaze me). The food processor is an amazing tool...he's none the wiser, but probably much healthier :teeth:

I am sooooo with you on the mushrooms, I would sooner eat a bowl of spiders than eat a mushroom, peas too...peas are NASTY.

I have that issue with olives. Why do all veggie pizzas get drowned in them? BLEAH!!!!

I'm with you on the mushrooms. I do not eat FUNGUS!!!!
I can't be a vegetarian as I am allergic to beans. I would never get enough protein without eating meat. And I love meat, so can't imagine not wanting to eat it.
I actually prefer most of my vegetables raw. I will eat raw peas but they are nasty when they are cooked!

This cracks me up - your DH has no idea he's eating veggies? This is one of those tips for how to get your kiddos to eat them LOL !!!

I actually do like some fresh veggies but really only in salad or if they're already cut up for me - cucumbers, celery, peppers, tomatoes.....nothing too green (the stuff that's good for you!). And certainly nothing cooked other than onions, but I'm not sure if those are veggies!

I like vegetable, most of them at least. I agree about mushrooms! Yuck. I really don't like most fruit though. My DS is the same way. He only will eat apples but will eat pretty much any vegetable cooked. He doesn't like raw veggies. He doesn't like the crunchy hard to eat stuff.

Nope, he has NO IDEA. We just had the aforementioned pasta sauce w/pulverized carrots, and he thought that it was "really good" You would be surprised at what veggies you can sneak into other food w/o the veggie "haters" noticing :rotfl:

Are we counting corn in the veggie category? :teeth: :woohoo: :teeth:

Green = Icky (most of the time) and eating fungi is out of the question.

I'm close to vegetarian. I eat meat maybe 1-2 a month and usually just a bite.

I live on mostly dairy, grains, nuts and fruits. And corn.

My mom always counted corn as a starch. There isn't much nutrition in them and you actually can't digest the "husk" of the kernels. It's still one of my favourites though!

Grilled animal flesh = :worship:

Ditto!!

I just started eating a few vegetables (I even hate the WORD VEGGIES! :rotfl2: ) that I can grill; squash, zucchini, onions, peppers. I do like mushrooms though
