The new 7 dwarfs ride is great but there is special about the old Snow White ride.

I rode the 'original' version at DLP and it really a nice ride.

I group Peter Pan, Pinnochio, Snow White and Mr Toad ride all together as being the essence of Disney.

So it is nice that at DL you can ride all of these and at DLP you can ride them all apart from Mr Toad.

Does anyone miss the original Snow White ride at MK?

A couple of years ago I would have said, yes, I miss it. But I haven't thought about it in so long, that I suppose my answer is no, I don't miss it. But I really did enjoy riding it when it was still there.

Not even a little...and I'd like the mine train more if it wasn't based on Snow White, or at least left the witch out of it. Dang movie traumatized me as a child.

I thought it was way too scary for little ones. The first time we rode it, the kids were 2 & 4 and I had no idea it was so focused on the witch. At the time, there wasn't a warning and we left surprised, with scared little ones. Much prefer the 7 dwarfs train.

Not at all. Was too scary for the little kids and I didn't care for it. I much prefer 7DMT.

Not really. While I enjoy the dark rides there are still others of the similar feel, even with a different theme. I'm glad they put in something different

Sure it's always tough to see a favorite go, but new favorites have to be made too. I like that at DL you can see these classics still, but at WDW you get something a little different. It encourages me to visit both Parks.

Kind of but not a whole lot. Sometime we'll have to go to DL and ride all the old stuff that's not at WDW anymore. I think 7DMT is in the spot 20,000 leagues used to be (I miss that one but I like 7DMT)

Yes. Don't get me wrong-- I love the new 7 DMT ride-- but the trifecta of PP, Mr. Toad, and Snow White is my memory of Fantasyland. I'm sad that my kids only get to ride one of the three unless we fly to DL.

Of course, there are a ton of rides from my childhood that my kids will never get to experience...

We do...Don't get me wrong we enjoy new rides, but it felt like a classic to me and is missed.

My kids never really thought it was that scary so it didn't cause it childhood trauma on our end. :)

I certainly miss it. I'm a fan of the classic dark rides. To me, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a disappointment and a waste of what could have been a top notch attraction based on this animated classic.

We miss it a lot. I thought it might scare DD, but for some reason she absolutely loved it from age 2 when she first rode it. She wanted to ride it over and over. We knew it was scheduled to close when we were at WDW late in 2011 and our last MK night, I think she might have ridden it 10 times in a row. We just kept getting off and getting back in line. That whole trip she kept telling us she wanted us to take her to Disneyworld management and the President of the Company so that she could give them a piece of her mind and let them know that they needed to change their plan (she was 5 at the time- her preschool teacher always told us she thought she would be either a movie/broadway/ singing star or a CEO:rolleyes: ) We love 7DMT and like that they saved the old cottage scene in the cottage at the end of that ride, but we really miss the old ride. We especially miss Dopey waving goodbye at the end. We have ridden the ride at DL in California several times and it just isn't as good as the WDW version was (although we do love the exterior of that ride at DL).

How similar was it to the one at DLP? I'm pretty sure I rode the one at MK at some point but actually can't remember doing so lol

I recently rode the one in Paris so on that basis and the fact I don't remember the one in MK I'm going to say no, I don't miss it.

Can't say I'm pining for it. It was always my least favorite of the old dark rides. I liked Mr. Toad's ride much more. I'm satisfied that I can still see them all ( plus Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland) when we visit DLR.
